Deepak Sindwani is a co-founder and Managing Partner at Wavecrest Growth Partners. Prior to launching Wavecrest, he was a Partner at Bain Capital Ventures, leading growth equity investments in B2B software and technology enabled services companies. Prior to Bain Capital Ventures, Deepak was a Principal with Comcast Ventures where he focused on both early-stage and growth-stage investments. Previously, he worked in product management, marketing, and business development at three B2B technology companies, including his own startup. Deepak began his career in Credit Suisse’s Technology Investment Banking Group.

Deepak received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Economics (Finance) from the University of Pennsylvania.

Where did you grow up?

Northern CT, in a small town with 7,000 people.  It was a nice, quiet place to grow up, but with access to lots of culture as well.  It was a place where I could run around and develop a number of outdoor passions.

What is your favorite sports team?

3-way tie – NY Jets, UConn basketball, and US Soccer.  I’m passionate about all 3 and try not to miss a game.  I’ve been indoctrinating my 2 young boys so we can all go together. 

The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is:

“Control the controllables.”  To me, it’s a great quote about balance, specifically doing your best but then forgetting about the noise and the things we can’t control.
